The New Gamble of a Nomadic Hotelier

After the adventure of La Bellême Bleue in Normandy, my new challenge was to reawaken a building that had been closed for fifteen years in the heart of Lectoure. I was literally captivated by the grandeur and potential of this dormant space.

From the outside, the building may appear sad, almost banal. But once you cross the threshold, it unfolds an unsuspected universe. On the first level, an interior patio becomes the beating heart of the place. I like the idea of beauty that's not something to be flaunted, but something to be discovered.

The backbone of this residence is its masterly staircase. It's not just a passageway; it's a real living space that I've designed as an inhabited gallery full of odds and ends. Here, every step tells a story.

Drawing on my international renovations and thirty-five years in Africa, I have forged my signature in an assertive maximalism: for me, "anything goes as long as the eye allows it". My work is based on a balance of contrasts. By transforming this forgotten building into a refuge for aesthetes, I offer each guest comfort and, above all, a rediscovered soul.

This project is the culmination of a year's passionate work. I'm proud to present this place, ALOMBRE, a reflection of my career, in the hope that it will stir my guests' emotions.
